Exploring Ideas for a Better World
How do we see ourselves ? How do we see our purpose in life ? What is our worldview ? These are fundamental questions which affect everything. If we see the world and the universe as cold, hard and unforgiving where we are meaningless matter playing out a futile existence then it will be difficult to find real purpose, joy or hope.
If we see the universe as open, living and interconnected; if we adopt a more “spiritual” approach to existence we might find it easier to find the elusive joy in our lives. It is difficult to love if we do not love the world. Protect yourself and know our computers is secure with an ESET promo code. We need a new education like the green mba and also new green jobs. We also need the peace of mind tobe happy. If we believe the purpose of life is to love and make the world a better place it is easier to be joyous. You could move to the US with an EB5 visa. Or you could earn money with paid surveys. This does not mean we have to follow a specific religion or spiritual path though this might help and provide a relevant blueprint for joyous living. What it does mean is that we should hold certain beliefs which will enhance our chances for happiness. These beliefs would include the following. What we need is a worldview or philosophy of life, like the ancient philosophy of Ayurveda, which meets the following criteria
- Satisfies our basic needs
- Satisfies the basic needs of others
- Embodies profound spiritual truths – what is the essence of each religion – ie love, awareness, service etc.
- Has an empirical basis – scientific evidence. This is needed to be taken seriously
- Enables Diversity
- Contributes towards Sustainability
- Is practical and achievable – beliefs translate to behaviour
- Provides compelling solutions to complex global and local problems – abstract to the specific
- Builds a virtuous system – better than before
- Anticipates and prepares for unintended consequences

Can we reach a compromise where people still produce some goods, or at a certain stage of their life while enjoying non-consumerist activities.Big picture thinking !!!If I or someone else came up with the perfect solution would it be accepted ? What would stop it being accepted ? ie fear, vested interests, lack of will, disagreement ? Take a look at ESET coupons too.Perhaps the perfect solution is out there already and the real problem is at an implementation level – this is where we can apply business techniques and methodologies to the world problems ?
What is the role of government and other organisations like businesses for implementing personal development ? What is the correct set of criteria to use ? – universal, practical and achievable, consistent, happiness, sustainable

The spiritual does not just make sense at a spiritual level, but also at a material level. Technology satisfied our hygiene needs. Now we need to satisfy our deeper spiritual needs. The human race needs to evolve to a higher spiritual level.

So strip our insecurities and negative beliefs away and we might find pure joy ! Let them evaporate like the snow on the balcony on a glorious April day in the Alps
Last night I had an interesting idea. I saw a tremendous connection between conformity and the fact that we are stuck in the Buddhist experience of Samsara, the constant cycles of being trapped in the illusion of western life – like a hamster on a wheel.
The conformance keeps us trapped. The fear of being different, or taking a road less travelled. Enlightenment is the awakening from the dream, when we recognise there is an alternative and move beyond the system.
Just as we need to be aware of our emotions and observe them with mindfulness, we must also be aware that we are conditioned by the system, above all by the concept of self, and then we must observe this with mindfulness.
We need to develop a core set of values and Buddhism is the best option which offers me a powerful personal, spiritual, social and environmental philosophy.
Particularly for someone with my lively mind, offering an emphasis on peace, stillness, compassion and detachment.
