Paul Mounsey – North. This track is featured on the ‘Visit Scotland’ ads. New Age music is one of the best sub-genres of electronic music. Its mellow beats create a powerful ambience in any situation. Listening to it will make a person very chilled out, whether they’re working or just need to get their mind off things. No doubt one of the best New Age artists are Enigma, in which I have most of their discography. I first heard this track whilst coming across one of the VisitScotland ads, and had to look up this track (similar thing happened with the Echo Falls ad with ‘Art Of Noise – Three Fingers Of Love’ – check that out too). ‘North’ by Paul Mounsey from his 1998 album ‘Nahoo Too’, features an addictive violin melody, that goes perfectly with the vocal in the background, not fond of the first part of the rock guitar but the end part makes up for this great track.
